Tiger Guardian

The tiger is widely worshipped in oriental as a sacred beast that devours evil spirits and deters ghosts. This artwork draws on the image of a tiger holding a sword in its mouth in traditional New Year's painting and tiger's ability to drive away evil spirits. The back leg area is shaped in satin embroidery with blue swirls and embellished with red seeded embroidery. The swirl pattern is considered to be an ancient symbol of the sun or water, representing the continuous flow of life, and it is a combination of rich decoration and auspicious symbolism.
The lanyard allows the tiger to be carried as a pendant.
